OUR FIRST (SOLD OUT) SHOW!! + VLOG

From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank everyone who came out to support us at our breakout show at Gamma Ray last Friday. It was a huge success. Hundreds of sweaty 20 and 30-somethings elbowing each other in the eye just to get a glimpse of Micah’s winning smile, Madam Yellow putting us all to shame with her better-than-the-original rendition of ‘A Couple Minutes,’ and a host of family and friends who believe in us, and this band.

As a ‘thank you’ for being founding members of Paperwork, we’re giving you early access to a fun little show day vlog we put together to capture some memories from the PB debut. You can watch that here.

OUR DEBUT SINGLE IS OUT!!

“With Forever, Paperback is answering the question of what happens when music meets friendship and “what if Vulfpeck made yacht rock?” It is an absolute firecracker of a debut…” -Madison Music Radar

‘Forever,’ our debut single, is out everywhere!! It released last Friday to a flurry of anticipation and excitement — we hope we didn’t disappoint. Forever is the song that first brought Paperback together. In October 2024, Micah, Cade, and I crammed into my Madison apartment to jam over some lyrics and chord changes Micah wrote. After a few run-throughs, we knew we were onto something special. We played music late into the night that day, and decided we had to explore where this could go. Months later, Cade and I made the trip down to Nashville to track some parts of ‘Forever’ at a proper studio. And after Micah joined us in Madison last August, we hit the pavement hard, working through several iterations of the tune until it reached its final form (Erin’s opening laugh and all). We’ve got many more releases on the horizon, but for now, take a minute to spin our debut single again, and again, and again – maybe Forever?!

UPCOMING SHOW AT CACTUS CLUB IN MILWAUKEE

Our second show EVER will be on Friday, July 3rd, at Milwaukee’s historic Cactus Club. We hope you’ll kick off America’s 250th celebration with a dose of Paperback – after all, the Declaration of Independence was famously written on paper. We’ll be sharing the stage with some incredible acts: Over Under (Salt Lake City, UT), The Spine Stealers (Madison, WI), and Horace Greene (WI). Do yourselves a favor and check these groups out. We’re honored to be sharing a stage with such accomplished musicians. We’d love to see you there!!

KEEP IN TOUCH!!

The Paperback community is growing fast! Please reach out to us on Instagram @hipaperback or at this email [email protected] and share our work with your

On behalf of Micah, Cade, and me, THANKS A MILLION! MWUAH!
